CHT offers ASSE 6005 certification classes

ASSE Certification
CHT, LLC is pleased to offer the 24-hour NITC accredited, ASSE 6005 Medical Pipeline Systems General Information certification course.

This session is designed to provide those in a supervisory, architect, or engineering role and who have an interest in Medical Gas Systems a basic knowledge of the requirements, application, and operational theory of the components and materials that make up a Medical Gas Pipeline system. Completion of this session will provide the proper certification and the level of competency that administrators, managers, and supervisors need to ensure the safe and continuous operation of these systems.

Information About The Course
Upon successful completion of this required 24-hour training session, you should be able to identify and demonstrate knowledge of the different applicable laws, codes rules, product technologies, terminology, and definitions pertaining to Medical Gas Pipeline Systems. The session will cover:

• NFPA 99 requirements (2005 edition)
• NFPA 50 & 55
• Terminology from ASSE/6001
• Medical Gas Headers, Manifolds, and Cryogenic Liquid Systems
• Bulk Cryogenic Liquid Systems
• Medical Air Systems and Associated Components
• Medical / Surgical Vacuum Systems
• Waste Anesthesia Gas Disposal Systems
• Instrument Air Systems
• Medical Pipeline Valves (types, locations, & labeling)
• Medical Pipeline Outlets
• Manufactured Assemblies
• Medical Rail Systems
• Medical Pipeline Warning Systems
• Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 Pipeline Systems

Requirements
A government issued ID and full course payment are required prior to beginning of the class.

To complete the course, each participant must have a copy of BOTH the NFPA 99C and a copy of the ASSE Series 6000. Bringing your own copy is acceptable. CHT is also offering participants copies of these manuals at cost. NFPA 99 is $42.50 and ASSE Series 6000 is $60.00 (tax is not included). If you will be purchasing these manuals from CHT for the course, please indicate that in the form below when you register.

Details
The ASSE 6005 Medical Pipeline Systems General Information session takes place over three days.

Next scheduled class(es):

• December 4 - 6 2007, Minneapolis, MN
• February 5 - 7 2008, Columbus, OH

This session runs from 8AM - 5PM each day. The final day of the session concludes with an exam.

This session is capped at 25 participants. The cost of this 24 hour, three day session is $750 per person. This sessionwill location will be announced.
