Piped Medical Gas Dist. & Control Diagram

Services to Evaluate and Document the Distribution
and Control of the Piped Medical Gas Utility Systems

Diagrams and Documentation Include:

  • Color-coded 8 1⁄2” X 11” (landscape) CAD diagrams
which utilize cross-hatching of the individual zones
to denote the area of control for each zone valve
    and each medical gas.

  • Temporary labels and zone codes are applied to
zone valves . The facility may elect to label zone
valve boxes with an alternate coding system.
  • Written reports tabbed by section are provided to
the facility, defining the location and distribution of
all zone valves and patient terminals.

  • Diagrams are designed to assist in achieving
compliance with JCAHO Environment of Care and
    NFPA standards.

  • Documentation indicates the distribution of each
piped medical gas utility system, which allows for a
    safe and timely emergency shutdown.

Emergency Zone Valve Labeling:

  • Permanent placards replace temporary
    labels at each valve location.
  • Placards include area of control, type of medical
gas, valve code identification, and system
    information.

Optional Services:

  • Placards designed with custom font, type and color.
  • Alarm placards with labeling to include area of surveillance, emergency instructions and gas content.
  • Additional drawings posted at each zone valve box.

Distribution and Control Diagrams Ensure
Compliance

  • Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare
    Organizations (JCAHO) Environment of Care
  • National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 99
