CHT has worked closely with hospitals through the jointly developed CHx Program towards facility preparedness for Joint Commission's unnannounced surveys. As a part of these continued efforts, CHT is providing JCAHO information on unnanounced surveys to all of its customers and member hospitals.
Joint Commission surveys were revised to be 'unannounced' in an effort to shift facility focus to a higher level of safety and patient care instead of a focus on passing a scheduled Joint Commission survey.
The CHx Program is a Joint Commission Compliance preparedness program that uses industry standard guidelines (ASSE Series 6000 and NFPA 99), professional services, and a thorough working knowledge of implementing compliant solutions for medical gas systems.
