CHT partners with FDA on Medical Gas Safety Program

January 21, 2007
Nathan Carrick
Director of Marketing

The FDA has partnered with CHT in a patient safety awareness program aimed to reduce deaths and injuries related to medical gas mix ups. This program includes educational material that will be available for all CHT customers and class attendees, as well as the information available on CHT's FDA brochure page available to the general public.

This program was developed to run concurrently with current FDA programs involving prevention of Medical Gas mix-ups through education and clear labeling of proper medical gas container and hook-up information.

CHT has worked closely with several organizations, including FDA, ASSE, NFPA, and NITC towards education, and code compliance. Every comprehensive CHx Program inspection & compliance recommendation includes checks for and (if required) recommendations for proper equipment & asset labeling.

Taking this further, CHT will offer these FDA information packs and other critical safety advice to all CHx Program customers as well as all participants in its ASSE series of education and certification classes.

CHT invites you to help us fight unnecessary deaths and injuries due to medical gas Mix-Ups!
